I like how many comments interpret this as the girl having done something to expose/catch the wolf since it gives her a bit more autonomy despite the abuse the song applies. I took it to be the wolf was just caught by a "huntsman" (or law enforcement) but it's a bit of a nicer ending for the girl to think she's the one who took action herself
